Value Intensity Grid
This is a painting exercise. The two properties of color are:
Value - how light or dull a color is. Tint - a light version of a color. Add white to a color to make it lighter. Shade - a dark version of a color. Add black to a color to darker. Intensity - how bright or dull a color is. To make a color dull, add it's complement. The complement is the opposite color on the color wheel. Complementary colors are color pairs that are directly across from each other. For example: Red and Green, Yellow and Purple, Blue and Orange Watch the video to find out how we paint a Value Intensity Grid in our class. |
